I was born in Denver, Colorado and for my entire life have had to share my birthday, since I am a triplet. If my wonderful parents had decided not to keep all of us, then this would be different, but I suppose I'm glad they did since I rather like my sisters. Unfortunately, we didn't stay in Colorado for very long and ended up moving to West Virginia, and then our current location, Edmond, Oklahoma.

Needless to say, all of us, including my triplet sisters and older brother, would prefer to be somewhere else, and so most of us are. I study at Boston University and am in my third year there, my sisters study at Wheaton college in Wheaton, Illinois, and my brother will be graduating from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. My ever amazing parents remain in Oklahoma.

Probably the most important thing about my childhood was that I was raised in a Christian home, and thus came to Christ at a very early age. Since then, however, the struggle has been to find out what a relationship with Christ really means and how I can live it out in environments which deny the validity of His existence. One of the reasons I decided to go to Boston University instead of a Christian school was because I needed to leave the Christian bubble I had grown up in and learn how to defend and talk about my faith with people who come from very different backgrounds. Almost ironically, however, I became very involved with InterVarsity Christian fellowship at BU and thus immersed myself in another Christian community which has been a huge blessing and also another challenge, but one that I am thankful to have.

Currently, I'm studying abroad in Morocco in order to improve my Arabic and also learn a little bit more about North Africa and the Middle East, the region that I study in school.  My involvementwith Adventures in Missions began when I was looking for a worthwhile way to spend my summer and decided to shoot a casual email to Seth Barnes, one of my dad's close friends from college. This email evolved into an internship at AIM which will begin this summer in Georgia, and for which I am extremely excited. I know that the Lord will challenge me in ways that I have not yet imagined, and I am still amazed at how blessed my life has been.
